Weigh In - Week 8

Not great actually - I've put weight on - 8lbs to be precise taking me back over the 20st mark. I'd like to say it's because I went on holiday (and it was partly) but when I got back from holiday I weighed myself and I was 19st12lb, which would have meant I'd put on 3.5lbs - not too bad to say I'd been eating in restaurants and boozing for a week and a half. But then I decided I'd treat the rest of the week (I got back on Monday) as holiday as well and also ate take-aways and crisps - lots of them - which put on another 4lbs in 4 days. It's amazing how much difference a couple of day's relaxing can make.

I don't like to make excuses - the fact is that there's only one person putting food in my mouth and that's me. I did have the fairly serious holiday blues when I got back - my whole year had been building up to it and I had a load of problems with the bike which put a bit of a dampener on things. I still really enjoyed it but getting back having not been totally fulfilled left me depressed and with nothing to look forward to.

Either way I'm back on it now - no more pissing about I've got no excuse. I have a mini-goal at in the first week in September - a speed dating event I've signed up for - so let's see what I can do about that. Hoping to get down to about 19st by then - it's a big ask in 3 weeks but if I get in the gym I have proved it possible in the past. Not been to the gym since my knees gave out a month ago so I need to get in there and just do it. No more excuses I don't have any injuries to hide behind any more.
