I do some moaning sometimes. Fair enough I haven't snapped completely out of it quite yet but seriously, I just read my last post and even I want to slap myself...
Did an evening run last night and it was really hard work. I hadn't eaten lunch though which probably had something to do with it. My knees are starting to hurt a bit as well. Not the Ligaments on the outside of the knee (which has happened before with running due to me pronating) but they just feel all over worn out. When I start my runs it's taking me 5-10 minutes to get them warmed up and then they feel a bit better, but I can still tell they're not right.
I shouldn't be surprised really. I'm 21 stone and I've run nearly 50k in a fortnight with no prior training for months beforehand!
Today's the day of the double run to make up for missing last Thursday. This morning's run actually went really well once I'd managed to warm my knees up, and it set me up for feeling much better about things generally for the rest of the day. I need to go back to the flat first tonight to pick up my (hopefully dried since this morning) kit so it's going to be a bit of a struggle to go back out to the gym I think. I'll do it though. I have to - I'm getting really OCD about making sure my run tracker is filled in every day with no changes to the plan now, and even just having to fiddle with the run dates because of Thursday has annoyed me a lot.
In other news, I managed to completely forget my flat keys this week, and I remembered about leaving them attached to my bike keys AS I PULLED UP at 11pm after a 200 mile drive. I tried ringing the landlord's bell but no answer. I then considered staying in a hotel for the night and sorting it out today. Then I thought fuck it and just forced the door. I was amazed how easy it was actually. All I have to do is bend the lock barrel back into place and replace the latch housing next week and you'd never know I did it! I did manage to whack my head behind the ear though and it still hurts...!
If anyone ever reads this, remind me to get a copy of the keys to leave at work for emergencies!
